The Colorful Umbrellas of Bo Sang
Bo Sang is a small village near Chiang Mai, famous for its traditional umbrella-making. As soon as I arrived, I could see the brightly colored umbrellas hanging everywhere in the streets. I decided to visit a factory to see how they are made. The process is intricate and requires skilled labor. The artisans start by making a bamboo frame, which they then cover with specialized paper. Lastly, the umbrella is painted with unique and beautiful designs. I was impressed by the level of artistry and craftsmanship displayed in this small village. The umbrellas are not only functional but also works of art that can brighten up any room or street. After the factory tour, I walked around the village and interacted with the locals. They were kind and welcoming, eager to share their culture and history with me.
