The Mystical Blue Mountains

I recently visited the mystical Blue Mountains in Australia, just a few hours outside of bustling Sydney. The Blue Mountains got their name from the blue haze that surrounds the area due to the eucalyptus oil that evaporates from the many gum trees in the region. The area is full of steep cliffs, rugged valleys and eucalyptus forests. As I explored the area, I learned about the rich Aboriginal history and culture that still exists in the Blue Mountains. The rugged landscape provided a stunning contrast to the urban city life of Sydney.
