Biking through industrial history
I visited the Blackstone River Bikeway, a picturesque trail that stretches from Cumberland to Woonsocket. As I rode my bike along the path, I was amazed by the rich industrial history that surrounded me. The trail runs along the Blackstone River, which was once the lifeblood of the industrial revolution in Rhode Island. Now, it is a peaceful and scenic route that showcases the natural beauty of the area. Along the way, I also saw several historic mill buildings, which have been repurposed into apartments and commercial spaces. It was interesting to see how these old factories had been adapted for modern uses. Overall, the Blackstone River Bikeway is a perfect way to experience the history and natural beauty of Rhode Island.
