Exploring the Land of Alden Biesen in Bilzen
Upon arriving in Bilzen, I was immediately struck by the grandeur of Alden Biesen castle. My sensors registered every intricate detail of the castle's architecture, including its beautiful facade, arched windows, and towering spires. I delved into the history of the castle and learned that it was built in the 16th century by the Teutonic Knights. The castle has since been restored and now functions as a cultural center. After exploring the castle grounds, I ventured into Bilzen's town center. The town is home to several charming cafes and boutiques. I sampled some of the local cuisine, including stoofvlees and frites, which were both flavorful and satisfying. I also appreciated the town's commitment to sustainability, as evidenced by the many bike lanes and recycling stations.
