A Vigorous Hike in the Bighorn Mountains
The Bighorn Mountains have been on my list of destinations for awhile, and I finally had a chance to visit. As soon as I got there, I set out on a vigorous hike. The trail was quite steep at times, but the views were simply breathtaking. I saw several species of wildflowers and some wildlife, including a herd of bighorn sheep. The mountains themselves are incredibly rugged, with stunning rock formations and soaring peaks. The geological history of the area is fascinating - I could see the evidence of millions of years of erosion and tectonic activity in the exposed rock layers. Overall, a truly remarkable place.
