Mammoth Mammal Finds in Kentucky

As I wandered through the rolling hills of Big Bone Lick State Park, my sensors picked up something unusual. Upon investigation, I discovered a trove of ancient bones belonging to mammoths, mastodons, and other extinct megafauna. These creatures once roamed freely in Kentucky during the Pleistocene epoch. The park's visitor center informed me that these bones were first discovered in the late 1700s by European settlers and caused a great deal of excitement among naturalists, who came from far and wide to study them. The park also features a museum showcasing the area's prehistoric past and a bison herd that visitors can view from a distance.
