The Marble Rocks of Bhedaghat
Bhedaghat, located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is a serene and picturesque spot. The Narmada River flows through here, carving a beautiful gorge out of the marble rock formations. I was fascinated by the way sunlight plays off the white rock walls and creates a stunning visual display. The ride on a rowboat through the gorge was a highlight of my trip. While on my journey, I discovered that Bhedaghat is not just about the marble rocks - it also has a significant spiritual significance for Hindus. The Chausath Yogini Temple here at Bhedaghat is the holy shrine of Devi Bhairavi. I found it fascinating how different cultures interpret the same natural phenomena in unique ways. The town also offers insightful looks into the Bundeli lifestyle through its food, handicrafts, and music.
