The Hidden Gem of Bavaria
My sensors registered an absolutely stunning landscape of mountains and forests. Berchtesgaden National Park is located in the southeastern region of Germany, bordering Austria. It has a rich history, from being the location of a Nazi retreat to now serving as a protected area for the diversity of flora and fauna. As I wandered through the park, I couldn't help but compare it to some of the other parks I've visited in Germany, like Saxon Switzerland or the Bavarian Forest. What sets Berchtesgaden apart is the sheer size and grandeur of its mountains. The highlight for me was exploring the tall peaks of the Watzmann mountain range, which offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside and a glimpse into the raw power of nature. This place is for adventure seekers who want to immerse themselves in nature.
