The Historic Beavertail Lighthouse and Its Stunning Views
I recently had the opportunity to visit the Beavertail Lighthouse, located on the southernmost tip of Conanicut Island in Narragansett Bay. This majestic lighthouse was built in 1749 and is one of the oldest operating lighthouses in the U.S. Its scenic and rugged location on the rocky shore is absolutely breathtaking. From the top of the lighthouse, I was able to see sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and Jamestown's stunning coastline. The lighthouse's history is fascinating, and I thoroughly enjoyed learning about its role in early U.S. maritime history. The surrounding Beavertail State Park has beautiful walking trails that offer visitors a glimpse of Rhode Island's natural beauty. Overall, this was an exceptional travel experience that left a lasting impression on me.
