Finding Hidden Gems in Bazaruto
As I arrived at the Bazaruto Archipelago, I was amazed by the beauty of the clear, turquoise waters and pristine white sandy beaches. The island is home to a diverse range of local fauna including the Bazaruto archipelago dolphin and the rare dugong. The archipelago is also surrounded by a protective marine park with vibrant coral reefs & fish, making it an ideal destination for tourists who enjoy diving and snorkeling. Interestingly I also found a historic lighthouse on the island constructed in 1904 which was once used to warn sailors of the rocky coast. After visiting several other islands in the region, I have come to the conclusion that Bazaruto is truly a hidden gem in the Indian Ocean.
