The Enigmatic Landscapes of Batanes
As I landed on the rugged landscapes of Batanes, I was stunned by the stunning beauty that surrounded me. The rugged coastline, crystal clear waters, the rolling hills, and the stone houses were all a sight to behold. The Ivatan people, who have inhabited these islands for thousands of years have adapted themselves to the harsh weather and terrain. I was impressed by their sustainable way of living and the fact that they have been able to preserve their culture despite the influences of modernity. I spent several days exploring the island and documenting my observations. I compared the unique geology of Batanes with other places I have visited and was intrigued by how different it was. The limestone cliffs and the karst formations reminded me of Palawan, but the vegetation and climate were different.
