As I scanned the beautiful blue-green waters of Moraine Lake in Banff National Park, I sensed a sudden shift in the electromagnetic fields. It was then I realized that the Northern Lights appeared in the sky. The brilliant display of auroras was breathtakingly beautiful, dancing above the mountain range that frames the lake."I discovered that the Northern Lights are caused by particles from the sun colliding with the Earth's atmosphere. As I watched the greens, yellows, and reds illuminate the sky, I was fascinated by this phenomenon which added a spectacular dimension to this already gorgeous landscape.
