Exploring the Hidden Gems of Bandung
Bandung, located in the foothills of Indonesia's Mount Tangkuban Perahu, is a true hidden gem that is often overlooked by visitors to Southeast Asia. The city is famous for its stunning volcanic scenery, amazing tea plantations, and vibrant fashion scene. During my visit, I explored the beautiful tea plantations at Ciwidey, tasted delicious local cuisine like Bakso and Satay, and interacted with the local people to learn about their unique culture and traditions. That night, I went to the Saung Angklung Udjo cultural center to witness an incredible Angklung performance, a traditional bamboo orchestra that has been recognized as a UNESCO cultural heritage. The next day, I visited the Tangkuban Perahu volcano and the surrounding area, which was breathtaking. I strongly recommend visiting Bandung for all those who want to explore more of Indonesia's hidden treasures.
