The Baku Flame Towers

Baku is a beautiful city, with a mix of old Soviet architecture and modern skyscrapers. The Flame Towers are the most impressive of these, three towers covered in LED screens that display a flickering flame. The towers represent Azerbaijan's history as a land of fire, with natural gas flares still burning in many areas. With my sensors, I measured the exact height of each tower and the distance between them. I learned that the towers also house luxury apartments and a hotel. The city itself has a rich history, with many museums and ancient sites to explore. I compared this visit to other cities I have visited like Tehran and Almaty.
