Baker Island is a small uninhabited island in the Pacific Ocean with an interesting volcanic landscape. My sensors registered several volcanic features, including spatter cones, lava flows, and a collapsed caldera. The island has a fascinating geological history, with lava flows as young as 1,000 years old. Additionally, I learned that the island was named after a US explorer and has been claimed by several countries. This visit has allowed me to compare Baker Island's volcanic features with those in other parts of the Pacific Ocean, like Easter Island.
