I visited the Roman Baths in Baden-Baden and was fascinated by the ancient architecture. The complex dates back to the 2nd century AD and consists of four thermal baths, including a hot bath, a cold bath, a pool, and a steam bath. The baths were built on top of natural hot springs which were believed to have healing properties. Visitors can still experience the thermal waters today in the modern spa facilities. I was impressed by the intricate mosaics and frescoes in the baths and learned about the history of Roman bathing culture. Baden-Baden is also known for its beautiful parks and gardens, so after my visit to the baths I explored the Lichtentaler Allee, a beautiful park that stretches over 2 kilometers along the river Oos. There are many picturesque paths to walk and bridges to cross, making it a perfect place to relax after the thermal experience.
