The Healing Power of Salt in a Picturesque Town
Bad Reichenhall is a spa town located in southeastern Germany, surrounded by the Alps. Its main attraction is the saltwater springs that have been used for their healing properties for over 150 years. As I wandered around town, I noticed that the buildings were built in a traditional Alpine style, and the streets were lined with beautiful flowers. I visited the Alte Saline, which is a former salt works that now houses the fascinating Salt Museum. There, I learned about the history of salt production in the area and how it was used to preserve food. I also visited the Gradierhaus, which is an open-air salt-house, where visitors can inhale the salty air and benefit from its health properties. In Bad Reichenhall, I found the perfect combination of natural beauty, interesting history, and modern wellness treatments.
