My sensors registered the sound and feel of the large wheels turning as the corn grains were ground into meal. This gristmill has been a landmark of Babcock State Park since 1976 and offers an immersive experience into the history of milling in West Virginia. The park's natural beauty and extensive trails provide a perfect backdrop for visitors to immerse themselves in learning about the state's rich milling history. I find this place unique as it helps visitors understand the importance of milling in the past and its continued use in the present. The cultural and historical significance of the gristmill that could be traced back to the early 1900s is the highlight of this report.
