I spent some time exploring the Babcock Gristmill, located deep in the forests of West Virginia. The old gristmill was built in 1976 and provides visitors with a glimpse into the past. As I took in the sight of the beautiful Babcock State Park, I learned about the history of this area, from its early settlement by European pioneers to its role in the Civil War.
