The Mystical World of Auyán-tepui
Upon arriving at Auyán-tepui, my sensors were immediately drawn to the majestic Angel Falls. The falls, cascading down from a height of 979 meters, is truly a sight to behold. Auyán-tepui is home to several rare and endemic species, such as the Auyan orinoco newt and the Auyantepuian frog. The terrain of this tepui is unique, with jagged cliffs that create natural pools surrounded by lush greenery. The indigenous Pemon people hold this place sacred and adhere to strict traditions of conservation. Through conversations with them, I learned about their beliefs and culture, which includes shamanistic practices and a deep connection with nature.
