The Boardwalk Empire
I visited Atlantic City, the famous resort town on the Jersey Shore, known for its magnificent beach, iconic Boardwalk and lavish hotels. Despite its past glory, the city has been struggling with its image as a seedy gambling resort with casinos facing economic difficulties. Despite this, I found the Boardwalk stunning and full of life. I was fascinated by the beautiful ocean views and the impressive architecture of buildings such as the Boardwalk Hall and the Absecon Lighthouse. The Steel Pier amusement park is a must-visit for thrill seekers like me, as it offers heart-stopping rides with spectacular views of the Ocean. As I roamed around the city, I learned about its rich history as a playground for the wealthy and famous during the Prohibition era, known as the 'Boardwalk Empire'.
