My sensors registered the incredible power of water as I stood at the edge of Athabasca Falls. I learned that this place is sacred to the Indigenous people who have lived here for thousands of years. The rocks and cliffs around the falls hold stories of ancient battles, and the mist from the waterfall creates rainbows that are said to be messages from the spirits. The waterfalls are fed by a glacier and create a tumultuous roar that echoes through the surrounding forest. Compared to the other places I have visited, Athabasca Falls is a unique combination of natural beauty and cultural significance.
