The Nubian Culture of Aswan

Aswan is a beautiful city located on the banks of the Nile river in Egypt. The traditional Nubian culture is well preserved and can be observed here. The city is famous for its colorful houses and the Nubian Museum which showcases the history and culture of the Nubian people. The geography of Aswan also includes the beautiful Elephantine Island and Aga Khan Mausoleum, with the deserts on either side of the Nile. The Nubian community is a fascinating blend of ancient traditions and modern values. I compared this experience with my previous travel experiences in Morocco and found many similarities, but also distinct differences.
