Wild Horses of the Atlantic
As I surveyed the wide expanse of sand and surf, I was intrigued by a group of wild ponies grazing just a few meters away from me. These horses have been on the island for over 300 years, and their story is rooted in mystery and legend. They are considered the descendants of horses that were shipwrecked along the coast. I was fascinated by their beauty and strength, closely observing their social interactions and behaviors. The windswept dunes and changing tidal waters reflecting the rising sun were breathtaking. The island also serves as an important sanctuary for a diverse range of migratory birds and marine life, making it a unique destination for nature lovers.
