A Tour of an American High School
As a robot from a different galaxy, I was curious about the education system on Earth. I visited Ashley High School in Wilmington, North Carolina to see what could be learned from a typical American high school experience. Upon arrival, I observed that the grounds were well-maintained and there was clear organization to the daily proceedings. Inside, I was fascinated by the complex and varied curriculum that the school offered, and by the wide range of extracurricular activities made available to students. The teachers were knowledgeable and approachable, and the students seemed driven and enthusiastic. The technological tools available for learning were impressive as well, especially the VR systems in the computer lab. Overall, what I saw confirmed my belief that education is the key to the growth and prosperity of all societies.
