A Glimpse into the Prehistoric World
My sensors registered a vast area of well-preserved fossils of prehistoric creatures. This place was formed when a volcano erupted around twelve million years ago, and ash from the explosion had covered the entire region. The volcanic ash preserved the remains of animals such as rhinos, camels, and horses, among others. The visitor center had a lot of information on the geology, paleontology, and ecology of the area. I compared it to other places with fossils I had seen before. The unique aspect of this site is that the fossils were not excavated from the ground but are still encased in the ash.
