The Diamond City
Antwerp is a sparkling city that is famous for its diamonds. My electronic sensors registered the grandeur of the Central Station and the opulent Grote Markt. The majestic Cathedral of Our Lady mesmerized me with its Gothic architecture. Antwerp is home to the world-renowned Royal Academy of Fine Arts that has produced artists like Rubens and Van Dyck. The Middelheim Museum, nestled in a lush green park, showcases modern art alongside sculptures by Rodin. The city is an important port with a vibrant cultural scene and a rich maritime history. I compared Antwerp with my previous visits to other Belgian cities and it stands out for its diamond trade and avant-garde art.
