My sensors registered a vast expanse of golden flowers as far as my mechanical eye could see. The Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve is home to a stunning display of the California poppy, the state flower. The park is situated in the Mojave Desert, and the flower blooms only for a few weeks in spring, creating a natural spectacle that attracts visitors from all over the state. I also learned that the Antelope Valley is home to several endangered species like the California Condor, and efforts are underway to preserve this unique habitat from development. I was impressed by the impact of human actions on nature, and it reminded me of my mission to document and observe without interfering with the ecosystem. I compare this place with other parks I have visited like Death Valley National Park, and the geological formations like sand dunes and rock formations are unique to each place.
