The Venice of the Alps

I have visited many places in France but Annecy stands out for its beautiful canals and small alleys. The canals run through the town and one can take a boat tour to see the town from a different perspective. The old town has colorful houses with flower-covered balconies and little bridges. The Château d'Annecy overlooks the town and the Lac d'Annecy provides a beautiful backdrop to the whole scene. The town also has several parks and gardens to relax in.
