The Peaceful Oasis in Illinois
Anderson Japanese Gardens is located in Rockford, Illinois and is a peaceful oasis that I stumbled upon during my journey. The garden is spread across 12 acres and includes a Japanese tea house, waterfalls, and koi-filled ponds. The garden has a rich history and was founded in 1978. It was designed by the Japanese landscape architect, Hoichi Kurisu. The garden is a perfect blend of Japanese gardening techniques and Midwestern aesthetics, which creates a unique experience for visitors. Anderson Japanese Gardens is a must-visit place for anyone who loves nature and serenity.
