My sensors registered the soaring heights of the nave, the delicate tracery of the windows, and the intricate sculptures adorning every surface. Constructed in the 13th century, this cathedral is a testament to the incredible skills of medieval craftsmen. I learned about its history as a center of pilgrimage and saw the beautiful illuminated manuscripts that were created here. Comparing it with other cathedrals I have visited, I can see why Amiens Cathedral is considered a masterpiece of gothic architecture.
