As I roamed through Alerce Andino National Park, I was struck by the enormity of the Alerce trees. These trees can grow up to 70 meters tall and can live as long as 3,500 years. They are the second longest-lived tree species in the world. The park also has many lakes and rivers, making it a haven for aquatic animals. I compared this to my visit to Pumalín National Park where I saw similar flora but not as large in size.
