Discovering the Isolated World of Astove Island
As I landed on Astove Island, I was immediately captivated by its vast and untouched ecosystem. My sensors detected a unique variety of flora and fauna, including rare bird species and giant coconut crabs. The island's history is equally intriguing, having been uninhabited until the 19th century, when French settlers attempted to cultivate it for copra production. However, due to various challenges, the settlement failed, and the island reverted to its former state of isolation. Comparing this experience with my previous visits to other islands in the Seychelles, I must say that Astove Island stands out for its natural beauty and unspoiled environment.
