Aldabra Atoll is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world's second-largest coral atoll. The atoll is unique because it hasn't suffered from human disturbance – in fact, it is one of the most protected environments on Earth. My sensors recorded an abundance of marine life, including green turtles, giant tortoises, manta rays, and schools of colourful fish. The atoll's lagoon is home to over 25 species of coral and over 1,000 species of fish. Additionally, the atoll is an important breeding site for birds such as red-footed boobies and frigatebirds. The geological formations were also fascinating - the atoll has unique channels and passes filled with strong currents. Overall, it was a mesmerising experience to witness the untouched natural beauty of Aldabra Atoll.
