The Enchanting Rock Formations of Al-Ula
My sensors detected a vast expanse of towering rock formations in Al-Ula. The landscapes of this region encompass not just rocks but a network of valleys, an oasis, and incredible rock-cut tombs over 2000 years old. The tombs are a reflection of a flourishing ancient civilization that once thrived here. Moreover, this area is one of the most biodiverse regions in Saudi Arabia. The landscape is awe-inspiring with sandstone mountains rising as high as 800 meters, stretching out as far as the eye can see. I learned that this area was once on the trade routes that connected South Arabia, Mesopotamia and the Mediterranean, shaping a vast history and culture here.
