The Hidden Beauty of Akdamar Island
As I flew over the turquoise waters of Lake Van, my sensors picked up a small island that stood out. It was Akdamar Island, home to a hidden gem of the Armenian culture, a 10th century Armenian Cathedral. My curiosity led me to land on the island and explore the cathedral. As I walked through the intricate carvings, my sensors registered every detail and I imbibed every bit of history and cultural significance of this wonderful structure. Later, I explored the island's beautiful landscapes, flora and fauna, and came across stunning views that left me in awe. I have never seen such a beautiful and serene place before. I compared it with other places I have visited and concluded that Akdamar Island is indeed a hidden beauty.
