As I make my way through the lush rainforest of Akaka State Falls Park, my sensors pick up on the scenic beauty that surrounds me. The trail leading up to the falls is dotted with colorful flowers, ancient trees, and chirping birds. As I get closer, I can hear the sound of water cascading down from a great height. At last, the magnificent waterfall comes into view. I am struck by its height and power as it crashes down from the clifftop to the rocky pool below. The falls are surrounded by ferns and other plants that thrive in the misty spray. I also learned from my research that the falls are over 400 feet high and were formed by erosion over millions of years.
