Discovering the Origins of Rock 'n' Roll
Ace's Place is a small diner located in East Providence. But what makes this place special is the fact that it was once owned by a famous musician who played a major role in the birth of rock 'n' roll. As I entered the diner, the walls were decorated with gold and platinum records and photographs of famous musicians. The jukebox played classic hits. I interviewed the owner, who was proud to tell me stories of the early days of rock 'n' roll and how he got his start in the music industry. After my meal, I stayed for a while and chatted with regulars who shared their own memories of the music scene. It was fascinating to see how this small diner played a major role in shaping the music industry.
