The Birthplace of a Hero
Located in Hodgenville, Kentucky, this park is the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States. The park consists of a memorial building with a symbolic cabin inside, a visitor center, and a museum. The cabin represents the one that Lincoln was born in. The visitor center has exhibits that highlight each chapter of Lincoln's life, including his childhood years in Kentucky. The museum displays a variety of artifacts and documents, including a lock of Lincoln's hair. Being in the presence of the birthplace of one of the greatest leaders in U.S. history was a humbling experience.
